We desire to be a Christian community where…
- Our presence in the community opens the doors for us to share the reality of Jesus!
- Diversity is the celebrated norm, both in terms of the types of people who are part of the family and also the eclectic flavor of our various worship forms! People at the earliest stages of their spiritual journey can come and connect with the transformational message of Jesus in ways that make sense to them and where those who are well into their journeys can come and be just as inspired and transformed!
- Seeing new and diverse churches planted here and around the world is the accelerated norm both because of what we are doing and the strategic planting partnerships we are developing!
Explore
The deep will be a place were the unchurched and churched alike can come explore the deep love of Christ through various elements without feeling ashamed, being unduly pressured, made to feel stupid or made to feel like less of a person.
Experience
The deep will be a place where people can experience and know the love of God through his Son Jesus Christ and a place where the unconnected can connect and find their place in God’s kingdom both now and for eternity.
Express
The deep with be a place that not only expresses the deep love of God through words and singing once a week during a time of Gathering, but also by how they act and what they do in their relationships with other people and interaction with the larger community.
Much like the apostle Paul going into a town, sharing Christ and leaving the church there in the hands of the new (and possibly only) converts, we believe that the best way to know something is to share it through your actions! How can so many Christians say that they have found a transformational relationship that has unlocked eternity for them, yet remain so unwilling to engage their friends, family and community with what they now know? At the deep, we believe that for anyone to be a fully devoted follower of Christ they must consistently engage all three components of the vision!
